A Sprinter camper van with a side ladder, roof rack and black wheels

Van ladder installs

Side and rear ladders that give you safe, solid access to the roof rack, installed and fitted by the Beachside team in Atlantic Beach.

Ladders at Beachside

A ladder is what makes a roof rack usable day to day. A side ladder keeps the rear doors free for a tire carrier or a box. A rear ladder mounts to the door and keeps the side clear for an awning.

The shop's favorite ladder brands are the same as its favorite rack brands: Flatline Van Co, White Top Adventure, RoamBuilt, Owl Vans and Aluminess. The shop dry-fits ladders together with any rack, steps, boxes or carriers before final install, so the parts work together and nothing blocks a door or a window.

What the shop installs

How an install is booked

Four steps from the first message to pickup.

  1. Ask for an estimate

Tell the team your van's year, model and length and what you want installed. Photos help.

  2. Approve and order the parts

If the estimate works for you, a deposit covers the materials and the shop orders the parts. Small jobs are usually booked about a month out.

  3. Install at the shop

The in-house team that builds the 2027 models does the work at the shop in Atlantic Beach.

  4. Pickup and warranty

Labor is billed when the job is done. The team walks you through the install, and the work carries a 1-year warranty.

Questions

Labor $375 to $625. Depends on the ladder. The ladder itself is quoted separately. Beachside sends an estimate before any work starts.

A side ladder leaves both rear doors free for a tire carrier, box or bike rack. A rear ladder keeps the side of the van clear for an awning. The team will look at what else you plan to add and recommend the one that fits.

Installs are done on any make of van, including the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit and Ram ProMaster. Full camper van builds are Sprinter only.
